It’s really REALLY important to keep our computers free of clutter. If they get too full, their performance is affected. Regular maintenance is important.
If you have a PC, I’ve got an excellent tip for you. It’s a tiny little app called "Scanner" which I discovered more than a decade ago, and it’s been helping me keep my computers clean and fast ever since. It’s free, and fast, and you can download it from this page.
When you run it, it shows a "sunburst chart" of your computer (or individual drives) so you can see at a glance where the largest folders of files are. With this information, you can easily decide to move or delete them, and clear up heaps of space.
I’m such a fan of this program that I’ve written a free micro-class about using it. I firmly believe that every Windows user should run this program, or one like it, once or twice every year to maintain good computer health. It’s a small investment of time for great results. You won’t regret it.
